Ignoring the torrential rain, the ‘protest march and rally’ program held by the students of Noakhali University of Science and Tecnology-NUST and other educational institutions of Noakhali took hold of the streets of Maijdi. The students carried out this program to protest the massacre and mass arrests and to realize the 9-point demand.
Earlier, Cox’s Bazar Students Association of NUST strongly condemned the release of the arrested students of NUST and the brutal attack on the students who were protesting against discrimination.
On the other hand, the administration of Noakhali University of Science and Technology-NUST has requested the law and order forces to ensure that the innocent and ordinary students are not harassed around the quota reform movement.
This was informed in a notification signed by the Registrar of the University on Saturday (August 3).
According to the notification, the university authorities specially requested all concerned including the law-and-order enforcement agencies to ensure the protection of innocent and ordinary students without any harassment in the current general situation of the country based on the recent quota reform movement.
