BNP-Jamaat activists have set fire to the central data center of the country, commented the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad Ali Arafat. He said that they (BNP-Jamaat) carried out this terrorist act to isolate the country from the rest of the world as part of a conspiracy to take advantage of the students’ quota reform movement.
Arafat made this comment to reporters on Tuesday (July 23) after the briefing of Law Minister Anisul Haque. Public Administration Minister Farhad Hossain and Education Minister Muhibul Hasan Chowdhury were also present.
At the press conference, Mohammad Ali Arafat said, ‘With no internet, we are in trouble. We are unable to communicate anywhere outside the country. This situation will help their rumor syndicates to intensify their rumor campaign abroad.’
The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting said that the BNP-Jamaat clique knew that if they could disrupt the internet system across the country as per their plan, it would be possible to send disinformation abroad, which would be reflected in global media reports and deliver one-sided false information. However, the terrorist attack was not reported in the international media, the government tried to resolve the student quota reform movement peacefully, which has already been resolved ‘peacefully’.
Calling on Bangladeshi journalists to present the truth against disinformation to the world, Mohammad Ali Arafat said the government is trying to launch the Internet. You should tell the world what actually happened in Bangladesh.
