Bangladesh ICT Journalists Forum (BIJF), the national registered organization of journalists working in the information technology (ICT) sector, has received new membership of 12 more journalists working in the information technology and telecom sectors in various media.
Organizing Secretary Ariful Islam Arman published the list of new members in a circular signed by President Nazneen Nahar and General Secretary Sabbin Hasan on behalf of the organization on Wednesday. The new members are – Abul Kalam Azad Baig (The Daily Star), Mahmudul Hasan (The Daily Star), Mohammad Anwar Hossain (The Bangladesh Post), Anjan Chandra Dev (The Daily Messenger), Mazharul Islam Mitchell (Business Eye), Emdadul Haque Tuhin (sarabangla.net), Md. Rasel Hossain (Bangladesh Journal), Md. Monirul Islam (Mohana TV), Ujjal A Gomez (Monthly Tech World Bangladesh), Moon Mandal Rajeev (Dainik Khola Kagoj), Md. Hamidur Rahman (Share Biz) and Archie Haque (Dainik Ajker Patrika).
Regarding the new members, BIJF President Nazneen Nahar said, Bangladesh ICT Journalists Forum (BIJF) as the only national organization of information technology journalists in the country, is playing an important role in the development of information technology industry and realization of digital Bangladesh dream through development journalism. Therefore 12 members are given membership on the basis of screening and merit from amongst the applicants through proper vetting. I believe that the new members will enhance the image of the organization in carrying out professional duties and developing personal skills.
General Secretary (BIJF) Sabbin Hasan said, BIJF has been playing a direct, visible and directly responsible role in the prosperity and development of the public and private information technology sector of the country since 2002. We strongly believe that selected media members will not only shape the future direction of the organization, but also act as a force to be reckoned with in shaping new leadership.
