The National Science Fair was held at 8 districts of the country in the last few days under the 45th National Science and Technology Week in different districts and divisions of the country. The districts are Gopalganj, Rajbari, Feni, Panchagarh, Noakhali, Narsingdi, Kurigram and Gaibandha. Besides fairs, Olympiads, quizzes and science seminars are held under the auspices of the National Museum of Science and Technology.
More than five hundred scientific innovative projects were presented in these programs organized by the district administrations. About 15,000 students and young innovators participated in it. In these fairs, various science-based projects including use of solar energy, scientific use of green energy, use of technology to prevent environmental pollution, prevention of road, rail and naval accidents were presented.
In this context, Director General of National Museum of Science and Technology Mohammad Munir Chowdhury said, “Science Museum is creating a scientific atmosphere throughout the country, which aims to enrich the entire nation, including the young generation, as a science-friendly nation. The aim of organizing this science week is to solve various problems of daily life through science, improve the quality of life and keep the young generation away from idle life, addiction to mobile phones and drugs and keep them immersed in scientific practices.”
