On the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha, Bangladesh Railway will sell advance train tickets online from June 2. On Eid, advance tickets for all intercity trains running in the western region will be available from 8 am and tickets for trains running in the eastern region will be available from 2 pm. Advance tickets for June 12 will be available on June 2; for June 13, tickets will be available on June 3; for June 14, tickets will be available on June 4; accordingly, the tickets for June 15 and June 16 will be available on June 5 and 6 respectively.
Also, the sale of tickets for the return Eid trip will start on June 10. Tickets for June 20 will be issued on June 10, June 11 for June 21, June 12 for June 22, June 13 for June 23 and June 14 for June 24. On the occasion of Eid, the Railways is arranging 20 special trains on different routes of the country.
Railway Minister Md. Zillul Hakim made the announcement in a press conference at the Railway Building on Tuesday, May 28.
The minister said that it has been decided to sell 100% tickets online. Similarly, last year’s Eid trip was completed well with everyone’s cooperation. This time too, we held several meetings to ensure a smooth Eid journey. All our efforts will continue till the end of the Eid journey.
He also said that this time, the ‘Cattle Express’ will run from June 12-14 in the western region for the transportation of sacrificial animals. And in the eastern region ‘Cattle Express’ will run on 12 and 13 June.
