The National Museum of Science and Technology-NMST Authority has given a grant of 7 lakh 20 thousand taka to 6 science clubs for scientific innovation work, scientific publication and science practice. Among these, Tk 1 lakh 70 thousand to Rajshahi University Science Club and Jahangirnagar University Science Club for publication of science magazines, Tk 1 lakh 50 thousand to Dhaka University Science Society for celebrating ‘Career Festival in Domestic Research-2024’, Tk 1 lakh 50 thousand to Barguna Science Society for a large-scale space camp in Barguna. 1 lakh 50 thousand taka for organizing Science Olympiad, 1 lakh taka to BUET Robotics Society for organizing ‘Robo Carnival-2024’ and 1 lakh 50 thousand taka to Department of Gene Engineering and Biotechnology of Chittagong University for organizing ‘International Biotechnology Conference-2024’ is done
Director General of National Science and Technology Museum Mohammad Munir Chowdhury handed over the donation check to the representatives of Science Club at the Science and Technology Museum in Agargaon on Sunday.
Mohammad Munir Chowdhury, director general of the National Science and Technology Museum, said at the check presentation ceremony, “Youth should always be engaged in science, environmental protection and humanitarian work. In idle time the youth get confused, go astray, lose their values. The science museum is doing nation-building work in a wide area of the country not only in educational institutions, but also in science clubs with a great goal, encouraging young people in various innovative and creative activities and involving them in the practice of knowledge.
