The UN’s top court has ordered Israel to start an uninterrupted flow of aid to Gaza to avoid famine. According to the unanimous decision, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) said Israel must allow essential basic services and humanitarian aid to enter Gaza on an urgent basis without delay.
A Bangladeshi tech-company has started a relief operation from Bangladesh to Gaza after the court ordered this after warning that famine may occur in Gaza in a few weeks. The name of this company is Smart Technologies Bangladesh, which goes from importing technology products in the country to manufacturing in joint partnership with multinational companies. ‘Smart Relief Distribution’ has started providing relief aid to Palestine from Friday morning from the company’s CSR fund.
It is known that the company is providing food, clothes, medicine and toys to Palestinian women and children who are victims of Israeli aggression with the money collected through crowd funding. Relief aid is being distributed through an international voluntary organization.
Smart Technologies Bangladesh Managing Director Mohammad Zahirul Islam and Chairman Mohammad Mazharul Islam under the supervision of Smart Foundation is also working to support the grassroots people to deal with the post-pandemic shock and self-help.
However, the foundation authorities did not agree to speak to the media about this support program.
