While paying tribute on behalf of the oldest professional organization-IEB, on the occasion of Great Martyrs’ Day and the International Mother Language Day on Wednesday (February 21), the Engineers’ Leaders expressed his views at the National Shahid Minar.
The President of Engineers’ Institution of Bangladesh-IEB and Member of National Parliament, Engineer Md. Abdus Sabur said, Bangladeshis are the only nation in the world who gave blood for the language movement. Through that blood, the achievement of freedom has been accelerated. Ekush‘s teachings have been useful in all the movements and struggles of Bangladesh. Ekush’s grief will be transformed into energy to build a smart Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
IEB spokesman and General Secretary of Engineers Institution Engineer S.M. Manjurul Haque Manju said that the country’s engineering community is united under the leadership of the Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina. Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s contribution to language movement is undeniable. At present, people’s leader Sheikh Hasina’s determination to build a smart Bangladesh will move forward.

Shahadat Hossain Shiblu, Vice-President of the Institution of Engineers and Secretary General of the Professional Coordinating Council said, ‘Language movement reminds us that we are strong as a nation.
