‘There is no alternative to reading books on building Bangabandhu’s Sonar Bangla and Sheikh Hasina’s Smart Bangladesh. The slogan of this year’s book fair is ‘Read books, Build the country; Bangabandhu’s Bangladesh’. To face any challenge of the future, the habit of reading books should be developed in every home. The book reading movement should be given more importance to build a smart Bangladesh under the leadership of the prime minister Sheikh Hasina.
IEB President Engineer Md. Abdus Sabur, a newly elected Member of 12th National Parliament, and Science and Technology Affairs Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League expressed this opinion while speaking at the unveiling ceremony of a poetry book at Amar Ekushey Book Fair on Thursday, February 15. That was the 2nd poetry book written by Engineer Sheikh Tajul Islam Tuhin titled Valobashar Barnomala (Alphabet of Love)
IEB President Engineer Md. Abdus Sabur said, I hope that Sheikh Tajul Islam Tuhin will gain fame as an engineer as well as a poet. Hopefully one day Sheikh Tajul Islam Tuhin will get the Ekushey medal. He wished the golden progress of Sheikh Tajul Islam Tuhin.
IEB Women Committee Chairperson Yasmin Rahman spoke as a special guest at the unveiling ceremony. She said, the book Valobashar Barnomala will touch the hearts of the readers. Each poem is an expression of a story. I wish this book success.
The Assistant General Secretary of IEB, Engineer Md. Abul Kalam Hazari, Engineer Amit Kumar Chakraborty PEng, Engineer Md. Ranak Ahsan along with the leaders of IEB were also present at the unveiling ceremony.
It is to be noted that Sheikh Tajul Islam Tuhin’s 2nd poetry book Valobashar Barnomala is available at Nakshatra Prakashani Stall (Stall No. 147) at Amar Ekushey Book Fair. The publisher of the book is Dr. Mushfiqa Rahman while the cover design and illustration were done by Shimul Kibria and printing and management was done by Turtle.
