Joy Smart Service and Employment Training Center opened at RCC Nagar Bhaban
The state minister of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak said that the youth can achieve financial stability with self-esteem by providing self-sufficiency with just brain, high-speed internet and high-speed computers.
This is what he said at the inauguration ceremony of ‘Joy Smart Service and Employment Training Center’ on the 10th floor of Nagar Bhaban of Rajshahi City Corporation under the implementation of Digital Connectivity (EDC) project under the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology on Thursday afternoon.
Rajshahi City Corporation Chief Executive Officer Dr. A.B.M. Sharif Uddin presided over the event. Rajshahi Metropolitan Awami League Vice-President and eminent philanthropist Shaheen Aktar Reni, Information and Communication Technology Directorate (Additional Secretary) Md. Mostafa Kamal, EDC Project Director (Joint Secretary) Tanzina Islam, Member of the sub-committee on Health and Population affairs of Awami League and member of the Central Committee of Jubo Mahila League Dr. Anika Fariha Zaman Arna were present as special guests.
Rajshahi City Corporation-RCC Panel Mayor-1 and Ward No. 21 Councilor Nizam Ul Azim, Panel Mayor-2 and Ward No. 13 Councilor Abdul Momin, Panel Mayor-3 Tahera Khatun Milli, RCC Employment Skill Development Institute Coordinator and former Principal of Rajshahi College Prof. Habibur Rahman, poet Ariful Haque Kumar and others were present at the inaugural ceremony.
In the opening ceremony, the State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak said to the awardees that they are being given free training to become successful entrepreneurs, but tax-payers’ hard-earned money worth more than one lakh taka has been spent on each person. So, the 25 thousand 125 people who have been trained in the project are thousands more; Be a role model in creating millions of new smart entrepreneurs. This gift is the ideal of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina who thinks that in the next 5 years, you will earn 10 lakh taka from this 1 lakh taka investment. Everyone will be a millionaire in 10 years.
Notably, RCC Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman established the Employment Skill Development Institute on the 10th floor of Liton Nagar Building and provided training to 240 boys and girls. The ICT Department enriched the Employment Skill Development Institute by donating 60 computer sets to the City Corporation on the same occasion to facilitate training there.
