A person was arrested from the Mannan School Market shop in Konapara, Jatrabari of the capital, with a device to change and flash IMEI numbers. 11 useless Android mobile phones, 8 useless button mobile phones, 11 Android mobile phone bodies and 3 mobile phone IMEI changing and flashing devices were seized from the arrested person.
On Tuesday, (December 26) Assistant Commissioner of Police Md. Imran Hossain Molla said that an accused named Nausat Hossain alias Shanto was arrested by the North Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DB) on Sunday (December 25). Detained Shanto has been sent to court.
He said that a raid was conducted on the basis of information that some people were buying and selling stolen mobile phones inside the shop of Mannan School Market in Konapara yesterday. Sensing the presence of the police, he was apprehended while fleeing.
