An interactive session on Kidney Transplant Program and Robotic Surgery was held in the city. Artemis Hospital, one of india’s leading multi-specialty hospitals, organized a programme on euro robotic surgery at a hotel in Banani today.
The session was conducted by head of Department of Urology, Kidney Transplant Program and Robotic Surgery of Artemis Hospital Dr Vikram Barua Kaushik
who is considered one of India’s pioneers in laser, minimally invasive urology and robotics urology, along with more than twenty years of urology related surgery experience.
Dr. Kaushik highlighted the groundbreaking invention of medical science, robotic surgery technology, and its various aspects.
He said that many complex and subtle urology operations have become easier due to robotic technology. The risk of this surgery is low.
“There is hardly any bloodshed. The patient is recovering quickly and returning home. As a result, patients can save their money for early recovery,” he said.
Saying that robotic surgery is more expensive than ordinary surgery, the doctor said robotic surgery for the patient reduces the risk to the patient’s life and brings a lot of relief to the patient.
This robotic technology is also very effective for urinary tract cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer and Prostate cancer, he added.
The session was mainly organized for the members of Bangladesh Medical Value Travel Alliance (MVT).
Murad Hossain, Firozul Islam, Mohammad Shahadat Rashid, Runa Laila, Md Rafiq-ul-Alam, Maruf Azad, Rabin Lal, Mushfiqur Rahman, Engr. Md. Miraz Hossain and other medical and health care professionals were also present.
