Almost a month and a half has passed since the first electric vehicle of the country Metrorail has been launched. Many people are still going to experience riding this vehicle. The train is running every 10 minutes. There is also so much passenger pressure in Metrorail coaches on the two days of the holiday than on other days; Most of them are coming with their families and relatives.
Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak traveled from Uttara to Agargaon on the metro rail on Friday after returning home from Saudi Arabia had a six-day state visit like an ordinary people. As there were more passengers in the train, he was standing in the queue of common people almost the whole time. In that situation, children, women and other passengers of different ages took selfies at the request. As the destination was reached in just 21 minutes, the state minister’s metro rail journey was much like a picnic.
During the journey, many fellow travelers took selfies with the state minister. Meanwhile, Palak wanted to know their experience of traveling by metro rail. The passengers cheered with satisfaction. Someone said, Alhamdulillah. Someone said, ‘it is our pride’. While talking to the passengers, the state minister asked them to pray for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to fulfill this dream. He said, through this, the Prime Minister has given us the opportunity to have a better, modern lifestyle. It was just a dream that developed countries have, whether it will happen in our country or not. Today it became a reality. Another thing is that everyone is aware. Everyone said that the metro rail station would be dirty; maybe no one would maintain it. But look, how beautiful the things are! Starting from children, everyone is using it consciously.
It may be noted that, Uttara Metro station will be opened for passengers from February 18 and Mirpur-10 station from March 1.
