In order to support the research activities of all the branches of science and technology of the country, a seminar on information related to information services and e-services of the institution was held at the initiative of Bangladesh National Scientific and Technical Documentation Center (BANSDOC) at Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST).
This seminar was held today on the second floor virtual classroom of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Academic Building in the morning. The JUST Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain was present as the chief guest at the seminar.
While speaking as the chief guest, the JUST Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain said, ‘I heard the name of BANSDOC when I was a student. Now the institute has expanded the scope of their services. Hopefully, the institution will play a more active role in the development of science, technology and research. He also commented that such seminars are helpful in the development of education and research.
BANSDOC Director General and Bangladesh Government Additional Secretary Mir Zahurul Islam chaired the seminar and JUST’s treasurer Professor Md. Abdul Majeed and Librarian (on duty) Swapan Kumar Biswas expressd their views at the seminar. The photographic officer Mohammad Aslam Ali Khandkar presented thekey note speech about the activities and services of the institution. At this time, the dean of JUST, Dr. HM Zakir Hossain, Professor Dr. Md. Iqbal Kabir Zahid, Professor Dr. Saibur Rahman Molla, Dr. Md. Hafiz Uddin, Registrar Engineer Md. Ahsan Habib along with various department chairmen and department heads were present. The program was coordinated by the deputy librarian of JUST. Mehdi Hasan and managed by BANSDOC Administrative Officer Md Mokhleshur Rahman.
