The Minister of Education Dr. Deepu Moni said that, under the leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina, we are going to become a developed and prosperous Bangladesh by 2041. Education is one of the main tools for building this developed and prosperous Bangladesh.
In this regard, under the leadership of the Minister of Education, Bangladesh has progressed 14 steps in the global knowledge industry in just 1 year from 2021 to 2022. Professor Dr. Muhammad Mahfuzul Islam, Vice Chancellor Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangladesh said, “I think this is a landmark achievement for us”.
On Saturday (January 14, 2023), they opined so while participating in a discussion meeting on the topic of distribution of educational gifts to the students and what the students should do to build a smart Bangladesh and face the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution of the 21st century at the Swoparjito Swadhinota Square of Dhaka University.
While speaking as the chief guest, the Minister of Education Dr. Deepu Moni said, we have to pay more importance and respect to technical education. We are working to remove the barriers to transition from technical education to higher education. We are working to modernize madrasa education as well. Madrasa students will learn religious subjects well as well as modern education using new technology. Madrasa students score 200 more than mainstream students. He said that it will be brought forward in the new curriculum.
He said, we are giving a lot of emphasis on their language education. Earlier they were learning only the language of Quran but now they are also learning the language of Arabic literature. In order to become established in the country and abroad, arrangements are being made to teach them Arabic and English as well as to take advantage of technology.
The minister said, we have formulated a timely curriculum. Because we have 2030 Sustainable Development Goals in front of us which is our international commitment. Education is at the center of the 17 goals of this sustainable development goal. If we can achieve quality in that education, if we can make education lifelong and if that education is inclusive, then we can easily achieve the remaining 16 goals.
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangladesh Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Mahfuzul Islam said, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had only three and a half years to turn Bangladesh into the golden Bengal of his dream after returning to independent and sovereign Bangladesh on January 10, 1972. In this short time, the father of the nation has successfully contributed to every sector of Bangladesh. Today’s digital Bangladesh was started by the father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Mahfuzul Islam also said that the leader of Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina started development from the village. Except only Bangabandhu’s daughter, no other world leader has yet understood that development has to start from the village. She established universities in most of the districts of Bangladesh and took the initiative to establish universities in every district of the country, established more than 100 hi-tech parks and provided internet services to the remote areas of every district of the country. Due to which even a citizen of a remote area is taking the country forward by outsourcing through internet.
Dhaka University Chhatra League president Mazharul Kabir Shayan and General Secretary Tanveer Hasan Saikat spoke in the program organized by Bangladesh Chhatra League presided over by the Chhatra League president Saddam Hossain which was moderated by General Secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Inan.
Educational gifts were distributed among the students of Neelkhet Government Primary School, Udayan School and Dhaka University Laboratory School on the occasion. Leaders of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangladesh along with leaders of various units of Bangladesh Chhatra League were present in the event.
