The Barisal Ilish became the champion in the final of the year-end domestic football tournament arranged by the e-commerce businessmen’s organization e-CAB. After a goalless draw, they won against Dhaka Bakharkhani in the third round of Tie-breaker. The Barisal Ilish won with the by the golden goal scored by, striker Mahmud Khan Joy. On the other hand, the Dhaka Bakarkhani team, which played well in the seven-a-side tournament and reached the finals, was sponsored by ComJagat Technologies CEO Mohammad Abdul Waheed Tamal.
The title deciding game was held under floodlights on Tuesday night at the capital’s Banani RAJUK ground after receiving a hat-trick honor with the ‘Digital Polli’ initiative on Digital Bangladesh Day. Each team played three matches and Dhaka Bakarkhani, Asif Ahnaf’s Rangpur Haribhanga, Mohammad Sahabuddin’s Chittagong Mezban and Barisal ilish reached the semi-finals according to the points list.
Earlier, Mohammad Ilmul Haque’s Sylhet Satkara, Shahriar Hasan’s Rajshahi Kalai, Nasima Akhter Nisha’s Mymensingh Manda and Md Saidur Rahman’s Khulna Chuijhal were knocked out of the tournament after falling behind on points.
