Bangladesh won 4 bronze medals in the 19th International Junior Science Olympiad- IJSO 2022 held in Colombia. Among the six-member team that participated in this year’s competition, SM Abdul Fattah of Khulna Zilla School, Kazi Nadid Hossain, Azmain Adeeb of Dhaka’s Udayan Higher Secondary School and Md Nafiz Noor Taswin of Bir Shrestha Noor Mohammad Public College won this bronze medal by competing among 40 countries. Among them, SM Abdul Fattah, Kazi Nadid Hossain of Khulna Zilla School won the bronze medal in the 18th International Junior Science Olympiad among six member team.
Bangladesh also won 4 bronze and 2 silver medals out of 6 winning medals. Then, Muhtasin Al Kafi, SSC candidate of Barisal Cadet College, got the silver medal from the Bangladesh team.
On the other hand, apart from these two, Swadhin Roy of Khulna Zilla School, SSC candidate Amlan De Avik of Mymensingh Zilla School and Abdur Rahman, a class nine student of Akiz Foundation School and College, got bronze medals.
A team of 6 members from Bangladesh participated in the Junior Science Olympiad – IJSO 2022 held in Latin American countries on 2-12.
The members of this year’s IJSO team are – S. M. Abdul Fattah and Kazi Nadid Hossain of Khulna Zila School, Ryajus Salekin Sameen of Comilla Zilla School, Md Azmain Adeeb of Udayan Higher Secondary School, Nafis Noor Tasveen of Birshrestha Noor Mohammad Public College and Md Marzuk Rahman of Cantonment English School and College, Chattogram.
These 6 participants were selected from all over the country through various stages of Al-Arafah Islami Bank 8th Bangladesh Junior Science Olympiad- BDJSO 2022.
This time BDJSO is jointly organized by Bangladesh Science Popularization Association, Bangladesh Freedom Foundation and National Museum for Science and Technology.
