Robi’s new Chief Executive Rajeev Sethi has welcomed the media’s criticism of consumer rights. Along with the expansion of telecom services, he announced R Venture 3.0 to empower new entrepreneurs. Top digital entrepreneurs selected from this platform will be given an investment of BDT 2.5 crore.
Rajiv made this announcement at the silver jubilee of Robi on Monday (November 14, 2022) at a hotel in the capital.
Highlighting Robi’s contribution to socio-economic development, Robi CEO Rajeev Sethisaid, “Since inception, we have invested Tk.30,000 crore in capital and deposited about Tk. 39,000 crore in the government treasury. Currently, our extensive business operations across the country have created more than 1 lakh employment opportunities. Therefore, our future is inextricably linked with the future welfare of the country.”
Talking about Robi’s future plans, he said, “We fully realize that the future progress of the company will depend on whether we are able to achieve customer satisfaction by providing superior service. In this context, our priority in the future will be to listen to the valuable feedback of customers.”
Rajeev thanked the regulatory bodies, the Department of Posts and Telecommunications and the government as a whole for providing proper opportunities and guidance for business expansion. He also thanked Robi’s business partners for being a part of the historic journey of 25 years.
Robi’s CEO thanked current and past employees for successfully transitioning the company into the next phase of its digital era. He specially thanked all the customers of the company for trusting the company. He concluded his speech by thanking the media for guiding the company along the journey like a true friend.
