It is an important duty of any organization to be aware of labor laws and regulations and properly comply with. Therefore, Bangladesh Association of Contact Centers and Outsourcing (BACCO) organized the workshop on Monday (November 7, 2022) at a conference hall in Banani of the capital to inform the members about labor laws and regulatory issues.
At the beginning of the workshop, BACCO general secretary Mr. Touhid Hossain presented the work plan and future ideas for the progress and development of BPO industry. He also highlighted the benefits of implementing labor laws in the BPO industry.
Md. Nasir Uddin Ahmed, Inspector General (Additional Secretary) of Directorate of Factories and Institutions Inspection conducted the workshop as the chief guest. Mr. Md. Masum Billah, Law Officer of the same Directorate- Law Sub-Division and Sabbir Anwar, Labor Inspector of Information and Communication Technology Division, assisted. The workshop elaborated on the issues to be addressed for ICT institutions. At the same time, the ways of obtaining services from the Directorate of Inspection of Factories and Institutions, all methods of establishing contact with the institution were highlighted.
Officials assured the BACCO members of all-out assistance in the implementation of any plans related to labor laws.
More than 60 members from BACCO member organizations participated in this workshop. Senior Vice President Md. Abul Khair, General Secretary Touhid Hossain, Director- Abu Dawood Khan, Dr. Tanjiba Rahman, Mr. Musnad E. Ahmed and Senior Advisor of BACCO Mr. Ahmadul Haque were present on behalf of BACCO Executive Committee.
