Commenting that only brave leaders solve problems, Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak said, we have joined competitions like ICPC in search of future problem solvers. This will give us a great opportunity to highlight our success. It created an incredible opportunity to introduce our future ICT leaders to those who are leading the world in IT solutions.
The state minister expressed his feelings while speaking as the chief guest at the press conference held at the ICT Tower conference room on Sunday as the host country of the 45th ICPC.
“I always quote from Steve Jobs. That is – everyone should learn programming. Because, it teaches to solve problems. There are many troublemakers in the world. But the number of solvers is limited’- added Palak.
Meanwhile, the state minister highlighted various initiatives of the government including making computer education compulsory from the sixth standard to make the youth problem solvers of the future
After the speech, he unveiled the championship trophy.
President of ICPC Foundation Dr. William B. Boucher presided over the Press Conference while Ranjit Kumar, Executive Director of Bangladesh Computer Council delivered his welcome speech.
Afterwards, Andrey Ivanov, SVP of Investments and Vice President of Research and Education at JetBrain, co-host of the event; Vicky Zhang, Vice President of Corporate Communication Department of Huawei, Senior Secretary of Information and Communication Technology Department NM Zeaul Alam and University of Asia Pacific VC Kamrul Hasan delivered their speeches.
