On November 8, the world will see another total lunar eclipse on Tuesday. A bright red moon will be seen in the sky. The earth will come between the moon and the sun, hiding the light of the sun. As a result, the Earth’s shadow, also called ‘Umbra’, will completely cover the Moon. The moon will be eclipsed.
If you fail to see this eclipse from different countries of the world on that day, you will have to wait for one and a half years to see this scene again.
According to the US space research agency NASA, the lunar eclipse will begin at 9:17 AM International Time (GMT). After 85 minutes it will leave again at 10:42. After three years, the world will again witness this rare cosmic moment. Where the sun, moon and earth will come in the same straight line. There will be a total lunar eclipse again in March 2025.
Explaining why the eclipsing moon is red, NASA said, first of all, the shadow of the earth creates the unusual color of the umbra moon. NASA further clarified that the same reason why we see blue sky in the morning and red sky at sunset, the moon also appears red in color. According to NASA, that color is reflected in the dust in the earth’s atmosphere.
