The National Computer Incident Response Team ‘BGD e-GOV CIRT’ under the Information and Communication Technology Division has been organizing regular ‘Cyber Drill’ to keep the country’s cyber security system unharmed. Cyber drill 2022 of banks and financial institutions was held virtually on Saturday as an annual event.
50 teams from banks and financial institutions participated in this drill. 232 professional cyber defense personnel actively participated from the teams. The theme of the drill was ‘Financial Institutions Cyber Drill 2022’ in view of Quick Response for Cyber Incidents.
Eastern Bank Limited’s cyber defense team EBL Defend Ace team came first in the solution time by scoring equal 975 marks in the drill. EXM Cyber Rangers of Exim Bank Limited and AREA 71 team of bKash Limited came second and third respectively.
Earlier last August, two days long Inter-University Cyber Drill 2022 was held on 23-24 August 2022 as per the plan of BGD e-GOV CIRT to organize annual regular cyber drills.
58 teams registered to participate in this cyber drill and a total of 268 students actively participated. Students from different universities of the country participated in this competition in groups. Islamic University of Technology’s ‘IUT GENESIS’ team secured 4950 out of 5500 points and secured the first position in that Drill.
