BTRC Chairman Shyam Sundar Sikdar urged everyone to be aware of keeping the door of ‘digital house’ closed if they want to sleep peacefully. To ensure security, initiatives have been taken to set up a Cyber Monitoring (CHC) Lab at BTRC. And to build awareness at the grassroots, the Ministry of Education needs to take the initiative to hold a class to inform students about cyber security in schools once a week.
He said, technology is changing day by day. We need to work socially to keep it updated and aware at the general level. Because no one can be prevented from using cyber technology. Just as we are concerned about the security of our own home, we also need to keep the logic house safe on the internet or digital devices.
During this time, the BTRC Chairman introduced a book written by him on cyber security to the audience.
BTRC has already prepared an outline to bring social media platform owners under the law and submitted it to the ministry and it is awaiting vetting, said Shyam Sundar Sikder.
He expressed this update while speaking as the President at the post-workshop discussion held at the BTRC conference center on Thursday. Post and Telecommunication Minister Mustafa Jabbar was the chief guest on the occasion.
