India’s Mars Mission completed eight years of its endeavor on September 27. And just at that time, ISRO said that the Mars mission has also been ended. According to them, the vehicle’s ‘propellant’ or driving mechanism had probably run out of life.
All communication with the Indian Research Organization station has been lost with the Mars orbiting spacecraft. India Space Research Organization (ISRO) said so on Monday.
In a statement, ISRO said that it is not possible to retrieve data from the spacecraft. Because the vehicle has reached its end. The ‘death’ of the Mars missions also happened due to this.
In the statement, ISRO also said that the Mars orbit had a life span of six months but was ‘alive’ for about eight years. ISRO scientists have been able to collect important information about the solar corona including Mars through that vehicle. However, due to a partial solar eclipse on April 30 this year, the vehicle lost contact with the ground station.
ISRO gave more details in this regard at a national conference on the eighth anniversary of the Mars mission on September 27. “The spacecraft has been declared unsalvageable and end-of-life,” they said.
It may be noted that, the journey of Mangalyan started on November 5, 2013. It traveled in space for 300 days. The following year, on September 14, 2014, the spacecraft entered the orbit of Mars.
