Ekushey Padak winning Veteran journalist Toab Khan is no more. He was 87 years old. This distinguished journalist breathed his last at a hospital in the capital on Saturday around 12:30 pm. Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun (We belong to Allah and Him we shall return).
The Minister of Posts and Telecommunications and the Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology have expressed deep grief over the death of this pen-fighter, who served as the editor of Dainik Bangla till the last day of his death.
In the condolence message sent to the media, the Minister of Telecommunications Mustafa Jabbar expressed the hope that ‘Toab Khan will live on through his actions. The void created by his death cannot be filled.’
In his condolence message, he recalled with deep respect the contribution of Toab Khan in the development of journalism in the country and in the great liberation war, he also said, “The role of a soldier in the Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra not only inspired us on the battlefield, but the program named ‘Pindir Pralap’ will remain immortal in the history of the liberation war in an interesting presentation.”
In a condolence message, ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of late Toab Khan. At the same time expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the salvation of his departed soul.
