The City University has conducted a special seminar for the students of the Computer Science and Engineering Department to develop professional skills based on industrial demand in addition to undergraduate studies. BITM Lead Trainer Habibur Rahman and Assistant Trainer Faisal Ahmed conducted the seminar which was chaired by Engineer Mohammad Safayet Hossain, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering Department of City University on Sunday (25 September 2022) afternoon.
It was informed in the seminar that students can take this training for free. Apart from this, the trainees are also given a fixed monthly allowance for training. BASIS-BITM also assists trainees in employment or self-employment after training.
Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) Institute of Technology and Management (BITM) is providing training in 14 subjects with the aim of creating a significant number of skilled manpower in the information technology sector. The courses are: (1) Web Design (2) Graphic Design (3) Digital Marketing (4) Web Application Development-PHP (5) Web Application Development- NET (6) Practical SEO (7) Mobile Application Development (8) Server Management and Cloud Management (9) IT Support Technical (10) Affiliate Marketing (11) Customer Support and Service (12) IT Sales (13) English Communication (14) Business Communication.
But a student can take only one course.
The Department of Information and Communication Technology is working to implement this initiative under the Skill for Employment Investment Program (SEIP) of the Ministry of Finance.
