In Pangsha of Rajbari district, a human chain was formed demanding the repeal of the Digital Security Act and protest against the torture of journalists across the country.
On Saturday (September 3) around 11 o’clock in front of Malek Plaza of the upazila, journalists working in different media took part in the human chain.
Pangsha Press Club president SM Russel Kabir presided over the human chain. District Reporters Club President Liton Chakraborty, Joint-Editor Sohail Rana, Press Club General Secretary Shaumitra Sheel, Pangsha Senior Journalist Masud Reza Shishir and others spoke in the program.
Speakers in the human chain said that journalists are being implicated in false cases in various ways through the Digital Security Act. Investigative journalists are being bound by this law. So they demanded to repeal this black law quickly.
