For the selection of Bangladesh team to take part in the 19th International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO 2022) in Colombia, the registration for Al-Arafah Islami Bank 8th Bangladesh Junior Science Olympiad (BDJSO 2022) has started. Offline registration in Dhaka and Netrakona will start from August 22 and from August 23 in Chittagong and Khulna. This year’s regional phase of BDJSO 2022 will be held in these four cities.
In Chittagong and Netrakona, the selection of regional phase will be held on September 2, Friday, and at Dhaka and Khulna, the selection of regional phase will be held on September 9, Friday.
Students from class 3 to class 10 and SSC candidates ’22 and 11th class students born after January 1, 2007 of any district can participate in these 4 regional rounds. Therefore, anyone who wants to participate in the regional phase should register directly before the seats are over on arrival at the addresses. Registration should be done by showing proof of classes studied. Registration can be done from 11 am to 7 pm. Seats are limited. So on a “first come first served” basis, a certain number of students will be given the opportunity to register. A student
can participate in only one regional round. So registration should be done in any convenient or nearby area.

As usual, the Olympiad this year will be held in four categories – Primary (3rd-5th grades), Junior (6th-8th grades), Secondary (9th-10th grades) and Special (11th grade, those who born after January 1, 2007).
Apart from these 4 regional Olympiads, an e-Olympiad will be organized online to find the best 6 students from all over the country. Any student from any region of the country can participate in this e-Olympiad through online registration like regional phase. Apart from this, “School Olympiad” will be organized in some designated schools. The national phase will be organized in Dhaka in mid-September with the winners of regional phase, e-Olympiad and school Olympiad. Those selected from the national phase will participate in the 8th BDJSO Camp.
Bangladesh team for IJSO 2022 to be held in Bogota, Colombia will be selected from the camp.
