The online social media Facebook is run according to community standards. So if a user follows this rule, he will be safe on the platform. Meta, the main organization of Facebook, is going to publish the issues in Bengali so that no one stays out of this security system due to not understanding the language.
Shehzeen Choudhury, Meta’s Communications Manager for Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, said this at a meeting on Meta Privacy at a hotel in Dhaka on Wednesday. She said, a new option called ‘Meta Privacy Center’ has been launched on Facebook. From here, users can learn more about security issues. The greatest thing is that, from now on the issues of Meta security will also be found in Bengali.
Arianne Jimenez, Asia-Pacific Privacy and Public Policy Manager, and Fahad Quadir, Meta’s Asia-Pacific Policy Communications Lead (Emerging Markets and South Asia) presented various information on Meta Security online at the Meta Privacy Meeting.
At the time, they said, many people were promoting provocative posts or videos on social media, especially on Facebook. This often leads to violence. Meta’s ‘Community Standards’ say everything about what Meta can and can’t do. As a result, even if any person, organization or government wants, they cannot stop everything. However, if there is any vindictive information or video, action is taken according to the policy. So if you want to keep yourself safe, you have to follow some rules. If the rules are followed, the user will be safe.
If the government asks you to delete something provocative, then what kind of action does Meta take? They take action even if they are properly informed from the person or any stage. And everything is done within the policy of Facebook.
