The Information and Communication Technology Division (ICTD) has won the first place for the second time in the implementation of the annual performance agreement with a maximum score of 98.66 out of 51 ministries and divisions in the fiscal year 2020-21. The award, signed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, was given at the last meeting of the Cabinet Division.
The achievement was celebrated on Tuesday in the conference room of the ICT Tower. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak was the chief guest. Niaz Mohammad Zeaul Alam, Senior Secretary, ICT Department, handed over the crest, certificate and greeting message signed by the Prime Minister to the Minister.
Palak thanked the Senior Secretary of the ICT Division, all the heads of the agencies and the project managers for their tireless work in implementing the Annual Performance Agreement as a partner in this achievement.
He said, “The Information and Communication Technology Division is working under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina with the overall guidance and advice of the Prime Minister’s Adviser on Information and Communication Technology, Sajeeb Wazed Joy Bhai to build ‘Smart Bangladesh’ by 2041. I express my heartfelt gratitude to both of them.”
Earlier, in the annual performance of 2019-20 fiscal year, the Information and Communication Technology Division secured the first position with the highest score of 94.97 among 51 ministries and departments. The ICT department excelled in 65 out of 76 indicators of the annual performance appraisal for the 2019-20 financial year, achieving 100% success. And this time the ICT Division is the best by achieving 100% success in 60 out of 63 indicators of the annual performance evaluation of the financial year 2020-21. In recognition of this, NM Zeaul Alam, Senior Secretary, Information and Communication Technology Division, received the award signed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from the Minister for Liberation War Affairs A.K.M. Mozammel Haque.
