The Technological Festival (TechFest) 2022 has been held at Rangamati University of Science and Technology (RUST). The festival started on Monday, May 30, 2022 from 10 am to 2 pm. A total of 7 events have been held in the day-long technological festival. Programming Contest, Innovation Idea Competition, IT Business Case Study Contest, Graphics Design Contest, Gaming Competition, Project Showcasing and Idea Contest: Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation.
A colorful rally was held in the morning on the occasion of the Technological Festival. The rally went around the main gate of the university and different areas of the university and ended at Dipankar Talukdar Academic Building. At the end of the rally, a wreath was laid at the mural of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
After that, flying the pigeons and cutting the ribbons, Prof. Dr. Kanchan Chakma, the Pro-vice Chancellor of RUST inaugurated the “RUST Technological Festival-2022”.
University Registrar (Acting) Anjan Kumar Chakma, University Proctor Jewel Sikder (CSE Department), Convener and Assistant Professor of RUST Technological Festival-2022, Tanzim Mahmud (CSE Department), Teachers, members and students of various technological events in the festivals were present bat that time.
Speaking at the inaugural function of TechFest, the Pro-VC said, “The participation of the students is satisfactory. TechFest has been a success in their presence. RUST will go ahead with many more big competitions like this.”The TechFest team selected contestants from each category through the registration process from May 8 to May 24. For the first time, RUST ended a big event with the participation of students from all departments. Students are happy to work on different subjects in different departments. They want to see the regular organization of such events in the future.
