Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) has completed a day-long training workshop on ‘Helping to Create New Entrepreneurs’ at Sheikh Kamal IT Business Incubator, the first of its kind in the country.
Today, on May 22 (Sunday), the workshop was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of CUET, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam. As the chief guest, he inaugurated the workshop at the conference room of the incubator. The event was presided over by Professor Dr. Mohammad Mashiul Haque, Director, Sheikh Kamal IT Business Incubator and Dean, Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering
Abul Fatah Md. Baligur Rahman, Project Director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority spoke on the occasion. At that time, the representative of the Economic Research Group and Professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of North South University Dr. Md. Roknuzzaman was present. About 80 representatives of various startup companies of Chittagong city also participated in the day-long workshop.
CUET VC Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam said, “Today is a day of great joy and pride for the CUET family. The first Sheikh Kamal IT Business Incubator built at the university level of the country has started its activities from today. First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to the Hon’ble Prime Minister. I am also grateful to the ICT Department and the Hi-Tech Park Authority. With the joint efforts of all, the dream project of Mr. Sajeeb Wazed Joy, Hon’ble Adviser on Information Technology to the Hon’ble Prime Minister is now going to be a successful implementation. We hope that with today’s training, young entrepreneurs will take the country to a unique level in the world of IT through new innovations and startups.”
