Oracle, a multinational computer technology corporation based in the United States has already invested in 4 tier data centers to set up G-Cloud for e-government applications in Bangladesh. The company is going to start operations in Bangladesh in full swing by December this year. Oracle Academy is going to be set up by this company which specializes in computer hardware systems and enterprise software products in Bangladesh. The national level hackathon will be organized in joint partnership with the ICT department.
Mr. Garrett, President of Japan and Asia Pacific Region, expressed such interest in a bilateral meeting with State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak at Oracle Office in Singapore. Sami Ahmed, Managing Director of Startup Bangladesh was also present in the Bangladesh delegation at the meeting held on May, 20.
Annie Teo, Senior Sales Director, Oracle Cloud Platform, and Mr. Arshad, Country Director, Cloud Platform Business were also present at the meeting.
After the meeting, the Minister of State for ICT met with several Bangladeshis working in Oracle. The top officials of the management board of the company also expressed their satisfaction at their excellent performance in Oracle at the time.
