Former US President Donald Trump has been banned in Twitter for the strict policy of the social media. However, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said the ban would be lifted soon. He made the remarks at the Financial Times Future of the Car conference on Tuesday. News Reuters.
Elon Musk is acquiring Twitter for 44 billion dollars. Although his plan is not clear yet. But he hinted that there will be less moderation in twitter claiming himself a believer in freedom of speech.
Elon Musk said he and Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey believe that permanent bans are very rare and are only done on bots and spam-spreading accounts.
Before Trump’s account was banned, the account had more than 88 million followers. He was banned from the platform for sharing multiple controversial tweets and content.
There was no immediate comment from Twitter.
