The accident took place at Mugbasan village in Keshpur block of West Midnapore district on Friday morning, Indian media reported.
According to a report published by Znews, News18.com and Compstudio.india, a young man named Abdul Safi of Mugabsan was talking on Friday morning with the phone out of his pocket. Suddenly the phone exploded and caught fire. The young man was shocked by the incident. Quickly, he got rid of the phone throwing out.
Abdul Shafi complained that he had bought the phone from Xiaomi a few days ago. He does not understand how this accident happened.
Shofi contacted Xiaomi shortly after the accident. But it is unknown whether he was given a new phone set or not.
