The annual general meeting (AGM) of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) Teachers’ Association and handing over of responsibilities to the new committee has been completed. CUET Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam was the chief guest at the meeting held at the Academic Council Room of the University on 26 January (Wednesday).
The AGM was presided over by the President of the Teachers’ Association, Prof. Dr. Sajal Chandra Banik. General Secretary of the association Dr. Md. Sanaul Rabbi spoke at the meeting. Treasurer Mr. ATM Shahjahan presented the financial statement of the outgoing committee. Teachers’ Association Publicity and Social Welfare Secretary Nahida Sultana conducter the program.
At the beginning of the program, the newly elected panel of the executive committee of 2022-23 was warmly welcomed by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam. After officially taking charge, the newly elected president of the teachers’ committee and associate professor of mechanical engineering Professor Dr. Abu Sadat Mohammad Sayem and the newly elected general secretary and assistant professor of civil engineering Professor Dr. Md. Bashir Jisan spoke in the program.
