The news of various misdeeds under the ‘fake identity’ of DB police is frequently heard in Dhaka. Finally, the Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police has resorted to technology to identify the real or fake DBs. The QR code is being added to the real detective police uniform. In the meantime, work has begun on jackets with state-of-the-art quick response code.
Metropolitan Detective Police Chief AKM Hafiz Akter said a quick response code or QR code would be added to the jackets of their members. Soon all the members of DB will be given jackets with different codes.
At the end of this month or at the beginning of February, this special uniform may be provided to DB members. The QR code will be on the chest of the new jackets. If you scan this QR code of a member’s jacket with mobile app, his identity can be seen. And if a fake person uses DB’s QR Code, while scanning it will show ‘Invalid QR Code’ message.
In deed, the members of the detective police wear a sleeveless jacket over their plain clothes. ‘DB’ is written in English on the right chest in front of it. On the left is the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) logo. ‘DB DMP’ is written in English on the back.
The police official further said that the jackets will have a special color, the diffraction of which will tell the difference between real and fake police. Even this garment is being made with a special kind of fabric, so that it is not available in the market.
