Amid a rapid surge of Corona in new cases, the government has ordered the closure of educational institutions till February 6. However, the Department of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has said that the classes will be conducted online at this time. As a result, even if the school is closed, the teaching will continue online as usual.
Similarly, all subordinate civil and criminal courts of the country and judges of tribunals have been advised to conduct all types of trials through virtual presence where applicable in civil and criminal cases.
However, in accordance with the rules of health, all kinds of cases can be filed in the lower civil and criminal courts and tribunals. The judge will testify in physical presence. However, the Registrar General of the Supreme Court Md. Ali Akbar has instructed that there is no obligation to wear a gown while conducting the trial in a virtual manner.
Prior to this, since January 19, the Supreme Court’s Appellate Division and the High Court Division have been conducting virtual trial.
On the other hand, on Saturday (January 22), the 11-point directive signed by Shahedul Khabir Chowdhury, director general (routine duties) of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education, has asked the students aged 12 to 17 to continue corona vaccination activities in compliance with proper hygiene rules. Besides, it has been said that even if the in person teaching activities in the educational institutions are stopped, the office activities will be continued maintaining the hygienic rules.
