Sony Group Corporation is launching the next generation virtual reality headset for the PlayStation Five console. The new headset will have an organic LED display. It will use an integrated camera, which will help players track. In addition, it will have a built-in headset motor and a virtual reality sense controller, through which gamers can express themselves.
Noting that gamers will get a different taste through this device, Sony said in a statement that its sensitivity will be many times more than any other VR headset. The device will be accompanied by a game called ‘Horizon Call of the Mountain’ from the Horizon franchise.
However, the Tokyo-based company did not say how much the headset will cost or when it will be available in the market.
Sony introduced the first VR headset in 2016. However, the device made for PlayStation 4 did not get much response from gamers.
Meta Inc. announced the creation of Metaverse last year, stating that they have taken to the field quite seriously to create Metaverse. Consumers are also expected to spend more time in artificial worlds such as Metaverse and Virtual Reality in the future. Analysts say that the role of virtual reality headsets will be essential.
