Prime Minister’s ICT Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy has announced plans to set up cyber cafes in every village of the country after the Union Digital Center.
He joined the cabinet meeting of the WCIT conference virtually from Washington DC on Thursday night and suggested the participating countries to use the GRP solution of Bangladesh.
Joy also expressed his dream of introducing Digital Bangladesh as an innovative Bangladesh to the world in a new way and hoped that at least 5 startup Unicorns will come out in Bangladesh by 2025.
State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak presided over the meeting held at the Carnival Hall of Bangabandhu International Conference Center. During this time, he presented a picture of the inclusive and sustainable use of information technology in the country through a presentation.
The meeting was conducted by a2i Policy Adviser Anir Chowdhury and was attended by Somali Communications Minister Adris Sheikh Ahmed, Maldives Minister Mohammed Sharif and Virtual Ghana Minister Frank Anthony, Philippine Minister Naguib Sinarimbo and WITSA Secretary-General James Poissant.
