The government has focused on the complete digital transformation of the country’s health sector. Digital health management software is being developed nationally under the Digital Health Services Management Project. Open MRS Plus is being developed by combining open source software, Open MRS, Odu, DCMForchi and Open EILS to automate all healthcare work.
The Bangladesh National Digital Architecture (BNDA) team of Bangladesh Computer Council under the ICT department and a2i are working on the implementation of this project in coordination with the DG Health and Health Services Department. After the success of security, the software engineers of the country are doing this work.
Prime Minister’s ICT Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy held a meeting with ministers, secretaries and concerned officials on Monday night to assess the progress of the first integrated meeting of the project held on May 24.
The meeting was informed that the implementation plan for implementation of telemedicine and telemedicine components under the Digital Health Management Project is underway for inclusion in the draft DDP. The prices of various devices including kiosks used in this case have been revised and included in the draft GDP. The initial expenditure estimate is over.
Software Requirement Specification (SRS) of data collection was presented at the meeting. In this, prototypes of 17 modules of clinical service, design of 10 managerial services and 4 models of support services were finalized.
Health Minister Zahid Malek, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak, ICT Secretary NM Zeaul Alam, Bangladesh Computer Council Managing Director Dr. Abdul Mannan, a2i Policy Adviser Anir Chowdhury, Program Manager Farhad Zahid Sheikh and others were present at the midnight meeting.
