Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced to bring those individuals or companies under appropriate punishment who get rich by cheating.
The Prime Minister warned so while responding to a question on e-commerce at a press conference held at Ganobhaban on October 4. At the same time, the Prime Minister said that the government will try to get the money back to the customers after interrogating the people arrested in this fraud.
The Prime Minister said, “Some people who cheat to make money by taking advantage of people’s bad times, they must be punished appropriately. We are not sitting. They have been caught immediately. Once caught, where they kept the money, what they did, what assets they made will also be found out.”
The head of government has called upon the journalists to make the people aware by publishing news about the fraudsters.
At the press conference, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the architect of Digital Bangladesh, further said that the present government has also taken up a project to make the virtual court a full-fledged one.
The Prime Minister further said, “I have proposed the Hon’ble Chief Justice that you undergo for a virtual court. In Keraniganj, where the court has been set up, I have made all the arrangements for the building or seating for the court. He was a little surprised. I said, yes, there are so many cases, people are not getting justice, you do it digitally, I am making arrangements. Now that digital court is being transformed in a more comprehensive way, a project has also been taken up. Our advisers are working hard on it.”
‘When we do something and bring success, the international community comes forward again. Then I said that we will do the matter of this court ourselves’, Added the Prime Minister.
At the press conference, the Prime Minister also emphasized the export of ICT products besides agricultural products.
