An exhibition titled ‘Bangladesh: An Era of Development’ is being held at the Sheraton Dhaka Hotel on Kamal Ataturk Avenue in the capital Banani. The Canadian University of Bangladesh has organized a three-day special exhibition on the occasion of the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, a daughter of Bangabandhu.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak has announced that the exhibition, which features rare photographs of different moments of Sheikh Hasina’s life, will be displayed online years after years.
He made the announcement on behalf of the ICT department on the second day of the exhibition on Monday.
The state minister said, “Even though the physical exhibition ends tomorrow, we will start the digital exhibition from tomorrow. Which will continue for years, and 24 hours a day.”
Palak also said that the digital exhibition will be kept open so that visitors from home and abroad can easily see the development activities of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during her tenure as Prime Minister; various steps taken in the global arena and photographs of various important events and rare moments of her life.
Zunaid Ahmed Palak said that besides building a digital Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina- the daughter of Bangabandhu has set a unique example of a psychological change in the national life of the people, that is ‘simple living and high thinking’.
At this time, he thanked the founder of the Canadian University of Bangladesh and chairman of the Board of Trustees. Chowdhury Nafiz Sarafat repeatedly.
Local Government Minister Tajul Islam was the chief guest on the occasion.
Earlier on Sunday, Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury, the speaker of the parliament inaugurated the exhibition by cutting the ribbon and cake.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Md. Zahid Ahsan Russel and Canadian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Benoit Prefontaine were present at the time.
