State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak expressed relief that Bangladesh has been able to introduce itself as a self-sufficient digital Bangladesh in the world. He said the country is now building a digital village based on agricultural technology through the use of technology in agriculture. For this, financial grants are being given to the farmers.
He said this while addressing the inaugural function of the agricultural incentive program held at Singra Upazila Chalanbil Hall Room in Natore on Sunday.
On the occasion, the state minister distributed free summer onions, late jute seeds and fertilizers among the farmers under the agricultural incentives for the fiscal year 2021-2022. He also gave checks of Taka 200,000 to 40 individuals and 5 organizations from private funds.
Thanking the 3.5 crore agricultural workers and their families on the occasion, Palak said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has completed Bangladesh in food by following Bangabandhu’s instructions letter by letter.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer MM Samirul Islam presided over the function and Upazila Agriculture Officer Selim Reza gave a welcome speech.
Advocate Ohidur Rahman Sheikh, President of Upazila Awami League, Jahedul Islam Bhola, Chairman of Chougram Union, Minhaj Uddin, Chairman of Tajpur Union and Kamrul Hasan Kamran, Vice Chairman of Upazila Parishad were present on the occasion.
