This time Tesla is making a humanoid robot. Tesla chief Elon Musk has announced the unveiling of a prototype of the Tesla bot next year.
The robot will be five feet eight inches high, he said at Tesla’s ‘AI Day’ event on August 19. It is also being prioritised so that it is not much expensive. The robot will do things that are usually dangerous or annoying that human workers do not want to do.
Tesla has unveiled a new chip for ‘Dojo’ computer at this event. Dojo will help build a self-driving system. The high-speed computer will also be launched by 2022, Musk said.
He said that he will bring new computer hardware for ‘Cyber-track’ within a year. However, the electric car maker has suppressed the issue of when the much-discussed pick-up truck will be released in the market. At the same time, Musk did not respond to recent criticism of self-driving car technology.
