A website has been illegally using the name and picture of the world’s best all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan. Through NFT, the website has been trading digital content with funky tokens using his name.
However, Shakib, the patron of the website, tweeted that no permission was taken for this business. In a tweet, he warned the fans by terming the activities of this website ‘deceptive’.
At the same time, Shakib has forbidden to buy content from that website.
In a tweet, Shakib wrote, ‘I have not authorised these guys to use my image or name to promote or sell their cards through NFT. This is FRAUD, please do not buy from them. I will be announcing my official NFT soon.’
In reaction to Shakib’s tweet, many have called for immediate legal action. Some have recalled the incident of former Bangladesh captain Mashrafe bin Mortuza.
