Tech giants like Google, Facebook and Twitter have extended the home-office days for employees. In the interest of health safety, the ‘return-to-work’ plan has been postponed for a few more months.
In an e-mail message, Google CEO Sundar Pichai said that the home office opportunities for employees will be extended till October 18.
Like Google, Apple has given the opportunity of ‘Work from Home’ till October. And recently, Amazon has moved away from the decision to come to the office of corporate employees in different shifts three days a week.
On the other hand, Twitter has announced the closure of two offices in San Francisco and New York.
“We are monitoring the situation closely,” the company said in a statement. We are also making the necessary changes to ensure the health and safety of our employees. At the same time employees still have the opportunity to make the decision to have a home office independently.
