Youth Hub, a Malaysia-based organization, has been conducting free coding virtual workshops with expatriate Bangladeshi children from across the country since last February to build skills for the future of children. The children of Malaysia who were trained at that time are now giving lessons to the children in Bangladesh. They are teaching Scratch and Python codes being connected in Google Meet.
The workshop started at 7.30 pm Bangladesh time on Friday.
Little coder Nusaiba, Saraf and Sinan acted as trainers in the two-hour workshop under the supervision of Youth Hub President Pavel Sarwar.
The workshop was attended by 62 children and their parents from Bangladesh. These children of the sixth batch will be trained for two months.
Whistle Founder and CEO Arefin Dipu, Youth Hub Treasurer Radia Ryan Chowdhury and Head of Communication Ashikur Rahman addressed the workshop conducted by Anika Nair Turna.
According to the organizers, 5 batches are currently running in this workshop organized on the occasion of the golden jubilee of Bangladesh. Already 214 children and adolescents have received training from Bangladesh and abroad. Of these, 52 were expatriate Bangladeshis and 78 were Bangladeshis.
