The country is going for a 14-day quarantine from Friday (July 23) to prevent coronavirus infection. Strict restrictions are starting from 6 am. This restriction will continue till 12 midnight on 5th August. The government has called for online access to communication at this time. That being said, this time the restrictions will be stricter than last time.
In such a situation, the Ministry of Public Administration has instructed the government employees to do the office work virtually (e-documents, e-tailoring, e-mail, SMS, WhatsApp and other means) from their respective workplaces.
According to a circular issued by the ministry, law and order and emergency services will continue. Offices-courts, garments-factories and all export-oriented institutions will be closed. Telephone and internet (public-private) service activities will continue as an emergency service. Employees and vehicles of the office concerned with the service will be able to travel subject to the display of organizational identity cards.
Food shops, hotels and restaurants will be allowed to sell food (online / takeaway) from 8 am to 8 pm.
Along with the police, members of the BGB and the army will be on the ground to enforce the ban.
State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain told reporters on Thursday (July 22nd) that he wanted everyone’s cooperation in enforcing the ban.
He said, ‘Since the office, the workplace will be closed, since those who have gone home have taken their time, they should come after the 5th of August. They do not need to come (during the restrictions). Restrictions must be obeyed to reduce infection. Must stay home. Don’t go out unnecessarily. If you go out in case of emergency, wear a double mask and follow the hygiene rules. If we can do this for 14 days, the infection will decrease; If not, it will continue to increase, the pressure of the patient in the hospital will come home. Therefore, everyone must cooperate.
