Fisheries and Livestock Minister S. M. Rezaul Karim has opened the digital marketplace for sacrificial animals countrywide. Digital Hat.net, ekshop.gov.bd and FoodFurnation.gov.bd platforms have combinedly formed this marketplace. Farmers from the Union level have been connected here. 241 hats have been added to it.
After the opening, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak bought a black and white sacrificial cow from ekshop for Tk 70,000 through escrow service. Later, he donated the cow to e-Cab.
While speaking as the chairman of the program, Palak informed that 241 hats from grassroots have been connected to one platform through 1843 online shops in the country. And this platform is Digital Hat.net. He described the market as safe, affordable and environmentally friendly.
